My passion for technology and helping people has shaped my career. Over the years, I’ve worked as a computer repair technician, website designer, database programmer, senior field engineer, technology teacher, consultant, manager, and director. Today, I’m proud to own Captain IT.Before founding Captain IT, I spent seven years at Green Dot Public Schools, a charter organization with 20 sites. There, I designed and implemented a robust network infrastructure from the ground up. By the end of my tenure, the district had a reliable technology system that continues to support operations.Customer satisfaction has always been my driving force. At Green Dot, I managed Exchange servers, Cisco firewalls, backup strategies, and infrastructure design. I also developed policies for technology management and budgeting. Four-D College is a fully accredited vocational career college licensed to teach Vocational Nursing and other allied health care programs such as Dental Assistant, Massage Therapy, Medical Assistant, Medical Billing/Coding, and Pharmacy Technician. As the head of the IT department, I was responsible for managing and overseeing the different operations in the department, as well as ensuring that downtime was minimized.I was also tasked with managing and supervising the IT team at the college, and ensuring that projects were completed on schedule, and on budget. My work at the college directly led to better IT processes, and better business efficiency across the college.

Green Dot currently operates 23 public charter schools in California, Memphis, TN and Tacoma, WA, and has graduated thousands of students with more than 91% being accepted to college.As the Director of IT in the firm, I was responsible for the management, strategy and execution of IT infrastructure for Green Dot.This role saw me handling a wide repertoire of different responsibilities, not limited to: • Overseeing the school’s technical projects to further the school’s efficiency and business streams• Ensuring minimal downtime for the school’s network and IT systems and operations, and making sure that all fail safes were appropriately explored• Supervising my team, and leading them, while ensuring that they completed their deadlines on time, and with quality

As a Motherboard Support Engineer, I provided expert technical support for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware-related issues specific to motherboards. My responsibilities included working with both clients and internal teams to identify problems, offer solutions, and guide customers through repair processes. I collaborated closely with manufacturing teams to ensure compatibility and performance optimization. Additionally, I maintained comprehensive documentation and regularly updated knowledge bases to enhance troubleshooting efficiency. My role required strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
