Through achieving my BASc Degree specializing in Audio, I have become well-versed in nearly all functions and capabilities of sound along with the technology behind its entertainment purposes. Equivalently, my ten years in the workforce and direct experience playing a vital role as a post-production audio engineer have prepared me for the precise application within our everyday line of work. As an audio engineer and sound designer, I have intensively studied the works, techniques, and ideologies of established sound designers such as Walter Murch, Tomlinson Holman, Randy Thom, and Ben Burtt. Although each of whom I have previously named may have varying definitions of what “sound design” might mean, I feel lucky to have the ability to create my own framework for that definition. I am proficient in audio-to-picture editing, processing, synthesis, foley, ADR, voice-over, studio recording, mixing, mastering, and music production. I am comfortable using digital, analog, and multimedia sound applications, including Pro Tools, Soundminer, Logic Pro X, and Ableton Live.
