In 2018 I co-founded Fairgreen Capital Partners, a property investment firm which specialises in deploying capital in areas which represent maximum opportunity for growth. This involves targeting under-supplied regions, high-yield units and off-market purchases. With over a decade of experience in the property development field - and a wide network of industry associates - I have worked to achieve a number of purchases, resulting in a growing portfolio of investment assets. The FGC team is comprised of a number of professionals, with a background in actuarial science, law and finance, providing a rare and valuable skill set which caters for the analytical, operational and creative aspects of real estate management.

In 2013, I set up Carlisle Consultancy, with a view to sharing the extensive knowledge I had garnered in working with clients within the automotive industry, along with my in-depth understanding of business operations and management. I have since participated in the development of a number of companies within the field, offering practical advice and hands-on assistance, in particular during the start-up phase. Some notable brands include AutoDirect.ie and AutoXpress.ie; together with an excellent team, I grew the latter from its inception to €8m p/a in five years, making it one of the most recognisable brands in the Mid-West, consistently appearing in lists of top-performing non-franchise dealerships in Ireland. This was achieved through a carefully-constructed management policy, focusing on marketing, purchasing, finance and operations.

During the post-crash market tumult of 2009 onwards, it became abundantly apparent that in order to survive the crisis, companies would have to drastically re-evaluate their operational costs. Hotel Trade Solutions (HTS) was designed to cater for this need, offering an oversight and advisory service. Given my extensive experience in analysing assets and investigating their actual profitability, I was tasked with leading the Corporate Recovery Team, which managed costs, reduced overheads and streamlined operations to ensure maximum revenue for these businesses. As part of my role with HTS, I travelled extensively throughout Ireland, working with some of the country's best-known hospitality groups, helping them to navigate through the difficult economic circumstances of the period.

Based in Co. Clare, Crystal Partners was one of Ireland's largest private property funds. While working with the firm, I participated in large-scale residential and commercial development in Ireland and the UK, the value of which exceeded €250 million. I was responsible for analysing new business development opportunities, reviewing these opportunities first hand and liaising with key stakeholders in order to maximise the potential of each development prospect. I was closely involved with the firm's successful purchase of Durty Nelly's Bar and Restaurant, which still holds the record as the highest-value transaction for a public house in the state, having sold for €13m in 2009. I was also tasked with developing the potential of new operating businesses that the company acquired, with a view to maximising the value of each acquisition in the takeover phase.
