Out of high school I had no idea what I wanted to do professionally. Like many young men in that situation I ended up working in construction. I worked for a company called Wisconsin Window Concepts for almost 8 years. I started at the bottom as a shop assistant, and by the time I left I was a top installer, and foreman that was responsible for 2-4 large projects at a time. I was responsible for generating site specific product orders, coordinating with on site job supervisors, training employees, delegating tasks to employees, quality control, and installation. Although this career path was not one that I personally enjoyed, I was very good at it. I gained important critical life skills such as problem solving, work ethic, time management, and teamwork.In the search for more personally fulfilling, and engaging work I decided to pursue a degree and work in the field of graphic design and print production. Through a school internship I started working for Nev's Ink. Nev's Ink produces high quality pressure sensitive labels (don't say stickers) and tapes. Through hard work and dedication to consistently improving my skills I was offered a full time position as a production artist. Through this opportunity I have acquired an intimate understanding of the flexographic printing process and digital printing process. Additionally I have designed things like social media posts, company event fliers, as well as creating and uploading product images to our website.
