State of Wisconsin Driving Instructor License #1222.Opening its doors in 1971, AABC Driving School is one of Wisconsin’s longest-running and respected driving schools. As Green Bay’s oldest Driver Training institution, it has provided over 50 years of consistent, no-nonsense / no-gimmick driver training that blends up-to-date information with tried and true traditional driving instruction. Its present owner, long-time respected instructor (and my boss!), Tom LaPlante, joined the school in 1987.What I bring to the table of AABC’s already qualified & experienced team of instructors, is 32 years of Law Enforcement Street Patrol experience, of which traffic safety was always at the forefront. Traffic law and enforcement, particularly in the area of Driver Impairment, are my expertise. Having investigated an estimated 3000-5000 vehicle crashes of all levels of severity, I am also an experienced Traffic Crash Reconstructionist. Thus, I know all too well the inconveniences, costs, and tragedies that poor driving places on our communities. As a Driving Instructor, not only can I teach the techniques and strategies needed for safe and defensive driving, but I also understand and can explain the underlying science and principles behind them. In addition to my training and experience as a Police Field Training Officer, I also have over 20 years of experience leading, instructing, and training Acting, Theater & Martial Arts, and Security & Safety Protocols. I have given numerous group presentations on varying topics.Being a Driver Training Instructor perfectly blends my passionate expertise with the opportunity to help set our new drivers off with the information and training they need to become safe, courteous, and successfully defensive vehicle operators – and not just on a path of becoming future traffic statistics.

Actor, Director, Producer for troupe (10-40 members) charged with producing short "slice of life" sketches for Sunday Services, designed to augment the sermon message. Ministry philosophy was striving to same or higher level of excellence as would be found in the secular community drama venues (no "bedsheet & bathrobe" productions and no "its good enough for church" attitudes). Liaison between Church Pastors / Elders / Ministry Team leaders to ensure that dramas were relevant and impacting. Some experience as part of creative writing/scripting team. Produced/directed/acted in 4 full length classic-titled family-friendly dinner theaters performed off church site. Some ventures into short film production (old school process). Developed and instructed several drama skills workshops, and talks on the biblical basis for the ministry. Created and performed as Event "Mascot" Characters for church created Vacation Bible Camp weeks. Acted as Daily Master of Opening/Closing ceremonies, and mingled with the children throughout the day (actually convinced several parents that my wife had married an Aussie!).

Volunteered for various martial arts competitions, community events, and concert venues as onsite first responder - as well as summer youth camps as the "camp nurse." License maintained after moving to Wisconsin by WI sanctioned training, transferred as equivalent to Michigan requirements.
