Researched displacement and affordable housing in Los Angeles as part of the Jesse M. Unruh Institute's Policy Research Internship

Traveled with a research team to Mizoram, India and Chin State, Myanmar to construct a landscape analysis of experiences for Chin refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs). - Conducted qualitative research on how Chin refugees navigate displacement, facilitate access to their needs, and are impacted by locals, systems, and barriers in Mizoram. - Participated in 4 months of weekly research training and virtual learning sessions to prepare for 6 weeks of fieldwork in Mizoram, India.- Collected data through on-site interviews with research subjects across 8 localities (New Delhi, Aizawl, Lunglei, Lawngtlai, Siaha, Sangau, Champhai, and Zokhawthar)- Visited 9 refugee camps, 13+ NGOs/refugee organizations, 6 Mizo civil society groups/government offices, 5 schools, and 1 university.- Collaborated on a final report that can be utilized in aid efforts by diaspora, NGOs, and international organizations.

Selected to join the first cohort of a fellowship for local students interested in leading movements for racial and economic justice in Collierville. - Participated in educational workshops encompassing local Black and Indigenous history, the Civil Rights Movement in Memphis, grassroots organizing, DEI projects, Rosenwald school sites, local politics, and community leadership.- Canvassed historically Black neighborhoods before the 2022 midterm election to inform residents about candidate options,registration, polling locations, transportation support, and contact information.- Conducted on-site interviews with elders in historically Black neighborhoods for the Southside Oral History Project.- Mentored by experienced community organizers from the Memphis area.- Received a $1,000 stipend to organize around BIPOC and youth issues.
