I've gained valuable experience through my time working on detailed design and other various projects. My current role revolves around leading the electrical engineering design on multiple energy storage projects. (Currently working on ~1800MWh of Energy Storage Solutions) I work closely with a team of dedicated engineers, to ensure we meet scope, schedule, and execution goals while delivering high-quality solutions to our clients. Responsibilities include:•Leading electrical engineering design on a per project basis•Training and mentoring of electrical engineers•Responsible for meeting project scope, schedule, and end to end execution •Vigilant focus on quality reviews•Provide technical guidance for the team•Coordination with all cross functional disciplines (Civil, Structural, I&C)•Project specifications and design basisI've also taken on an active role in supporting our Energy Division's employee experience and engagement group, where I contribute to event planning for our onboarding events. Additionally, I gather and analyze employee feedback to drive initiatives with the goal of improving employee satisfaction, productivity and ultimately core business OKRs.

I started my career as an Electrical Engineer in the general Electrical department in the Energy Division at Burns and McDonnell, initially focusing on power plant equipment upgrades. Later, I shifted to a full-time role in the Energy Storage Department, where I was involved in various aspects of electrical engineering and more. Some of my responsibilities included: • Electrical system detailed design• Thermal Analysis and ETAP modeling• Short-circuit and Arc Flash analysis• Protective relay functionality testing (onsite and remote)• Preparing electrical schematics for control and protection.• Owner Engineer Services - including full electrical package review• Energy Storage early stage development consulting• Preparation of cost estimates and proposals• Cable and Auxiliary Equipment Sizing• Cable Procurement• Construction Support (In person and remote)When not working directly on project related tasks I spent my time working as the Energy Division Coordinator for one of our internal Employee Resource Groups that targets professionalism, networking and inclusion for new employee owners at BMcD.
