I am the son of hardworking Dominican immigrants, whose work ethic have been instilled within me. The combination of my innate work ethic and strong analytical skills results in high productivity and efficiency. In retail, I excelled in surpassing daily and weekly sales quotas while providing excellent customer service which led to a raise within my first six months. I also gained valuable experience in the payroll department, where I learned essential controls pertaining to the payroll cycle. On the soccer field, I teamed up with people from across the world to lead my high school to its first playoff appearance in school history. I also volunteer at a local soccer club; helping young teenagers perfect the game of soccer. Being able to share my passion for the game and helping young boys grow off and on the field is the most rewarding feeling one could ask for. In the flooring industry, I teamed up with my father to run a small team that installs flooring in the Charleston area. I was exposed to a high paced work environment where efficiency is key to finishing jobs on time. I gained valuable experience scheduling appointment dates with clients and consulting my father with business decisions. Most decisions that I advise on are pricing strategies and tax choices that maximized profit for the company and minimized costs for its clients.Whether in a team-orientated or individual setting, I have a proven track record of being adaptive in all work scenarios. In the classroom, I enhanced my analytical, innovative, and problem-solving skills that are needed for the financial industry. In the work setting, I was able to apply these acquired attributes and combine them with my distinctive work ethic and keen eye for minute details. As a result, I am well rounded candidate that is interested in accounting or finance career opportunities that allow me to put my meticulousness and number crunching abilities to use.
