Lead the Talent Management function which encompasses talent acquisition, onboarding, training, and continued learning & development of all employees at TerrAscend. Oversee a team of 8 (4 direct reports) to ensure TerrAscend is providing an excellent candidate and employee experience for new and existing hires, while partnering with the business to offer Talent Management solutions that positively impact employee retention, engagement, and career growth.

As the first internal recruiting resource ever at Almo, I was responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process for all full-time positions across the United States. My areas of focus included recruiting for Sales, Operations, Administrative, and support functions for the 4 major sales divisions within Almo (Dealer Appliances, Premium Appliances, Pro AV, and E-Commerce). I managed one team member who focused on recruitment administration, college recruiting, and recruiting for positions in our Distribution Centers. Managed 2-3+ contract recruiters during peak staffing periods as well as one Talent Acquisition Intern during the summer. I was also responsible for recruitment vendor relationships, systems, assessment administration and reporting.Helped implement a new HRIS platform on the ATS side of the suite. Project lead on careers page revamp with a 3rd party content vendor.

As a Senior Recruiter, I partnered with Hiring Managers for 40+ branch & regional locations across 15 states to attract talent within operations, account management, sales, administration, and regional support. I was also charged with College recruitment for the rotational program within the Landscape Maintenance Service department. Outside of my direct recruiting responsibilities, I spent time working with branch and regional management with talent planning/forecasting and interview training. We also sought partnerships with local community organizations to build rapport and word-of-mouth presence where we work and live.

This newly formed role was put in place to create and execute a sourcing strategy that established BrightView as an “Employer of Choice” within local communities, including advertising, job posting, field visits, community organization sponsorship, and much more. I was responsible for managing the incoming candidate flow, screening for job fit, and scheduling interviews for Hiring Managers.

I was hired on as a Contract Recruiter to support recruitment efforts for exempt and non-exempt openings across the Northeast Region. The contract was ultimately extended until I became a full-time BrightView employee late in 2014. In addition to recruiting, I supported the HR Coordinator, HR Manager, and VP of Human Resources on special projects, DOT compliance, and more.

While working under the Principal Recruiter, I learned the basics of job posting, sourcing, and phone screening candidates for job fit.
