In late 2009 I joined Lockerz into it's first year as a startup, helping refactor core parts of their infrastructure to scale to meet increasing popularity and global web traffic. This included large data migrations and an extensive AWS build-out.Shortly thereafter I moved on to lead a team of developers and designers to develop Lockerz PLAY, a streaming video platform which served exclusive content developed for Lockerz. The team released the beta in 2 months, at it's peak it served ~250k video views a day. In Fall of 2010 I helped build out a team and led the development effort behind Lockerz CONNECT, the company’s social networking platform. Users were able to collect and spend points based on activities they completed on the site. With roughly 18 million users across the globe, this infrastructure was massive. We developed a rudimentary PHP front-end backed by a heavily partitioned set of java services and mysql instances on the backend to distribute load.In 2011 I moved on to support the acquisition of the Twitter photo sharing application, Plixi into the Lockerz portfolio of features. This coincided with another significant platform rewrite to improve site stability and developer productivity.

Development of batch automated testing infrastructures (perl, PHP, C++, J2EE/Websphere), windows platform test framework development (C++, C#, COM), and virtualization of dev/test environments (VMware ESX/vCenter) for the QuickBooks desktop and online product lines.Early developer on Intuit's Hosting Platform (private cloud), including data center automation (Opsware/HP IT Orchestration, Custom Ruby services), VPS management (parallels virtuozzo/openvz)

Developed grid computing management tools, distributed installation scripts for X11 environments (Tcl/tk), and wrote copious amounts of technical documentation for the Platform LSF product line.

Supported the National Energy Research Scientific Computing Center's physics computing cluster, made up entirely of commodity hardware, and designed primarily to meet the detector simulation and data analysis requirements of Physics, Astrophysics and Nuclear Science collaborations.
