My name is Anthony Perea. I am a mechanical engineering graduate of the Colorado School of Mines with a minor in public affairs as part of the McBride Honors Program. I have experience in Solidworks, Fusion 360, Arduino, Mathcad, G-Code, LabView, Python, and MATLAB. Throughout my time at Mines, my name appeared on the Dean’s List every year and I graduated with honors. My projects include an interactive display for student projects, an anti-theft package deterrent, and a plastic extruder for recycling. In addition, to academics I was active in the Mines community. I worked as a lead Peer Educator for the Betsy’s Friends Peer Education Program on campus to educate the student population on mental health and physical wellness. In addition, I served as a Peer Mentor to help incoming students adjust to campus life. One of my hobbies is performing as a magician, I have had the privilege of being invited to perform at national magic conferences. I believe in sustainability, collaboration, and innovation. Above all, I believe that we have a responsibility to improve our quality of life.
