Leading session that had a range of pupils that have been permanently excluded from mainstream school as a result of having Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties and/or Special Educational needs. Dealing with demanding, and most often challenging behaviour in the deliverance of core subjects. The role also requires me to work on a 1:1 basis with pupils in order to develop key subject areas needing significant attention.Leading in the organisation and deliverance of PPA cover, PE lessons, playground activities and structured social play during the pupils reward time and breaks.Managing a budget for the schools PE department and taking sole responsibility for organising, maintaining and restocking sports equipment.

Leading in the provision of a reception service. These included greeting participants at sessions, assisting in the processing of activity bookings and dealing with members of the public. For example, dealing with enquiries and promoting Charnwood’s wild card.Working in partnership with local sports clubs and key organisations with the community to enhance Charnwood Borough Council’s annual holiday programme.Encouraging children and young people to participate in a range of activities whilst also providing pathways into recreational and competitive sport.Supporting the deliverance of Charnwood Borough Council’s priority neighbourhood programme which aims to raise awareness to communities on how to live a healthy, active lifestyle through the delivery of sport.Building strong rapports with children and young people of all ages, encouraging and inspiring them to take a positive approach to life whilst also participating in sporting opportunities.
