I am a CPA with more than fifteen years of professional accounting experience, including more than twelve years working in both the governmental and private sectors of public accounting. I participate and lead in a variety of engagements from government financial statement compilations and compliance to small business, nonprofit, and individual taxation. I work closely with clients including State and Local Pension Funds, their boards, employers, pensioners and active members. My experience in the government sector includes overseeing the accounting and compliance reporting of over 300 Pension Funds. This experience includes transitioning the general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial statement preparation functions as well as general accounting and pension consulting.I have attended hundreds of Pension Board meetings to present financial statements, budget reports, and other compliance reports required by governmental agencies. I work closely with key personnel to ensure that all parties have a working knowledge of the compliance and finance function that Lauterbach & Amen, LLP has assumed. I have also been a speaker at many certified training courses and conferences in the areas of social security, financial reporting, record-keeping, and compliance.
