In this role, I led the accelerator to over USD 6M in early-stage transactions (equity, debt and hybrid) and advised an additional USD 5M in blended finance transactions. In 2023, I facilitated the setting up and operationalization of a EUR 0.75M seed fund for the accelerator.Specific tasks for this role included the following:• Managing the venture funding lifecycle across the various stages• Performance of industry and market research for review of information and strategy for both the fund and potential investees• Conducting in-depth financial analyses, designing and building of financial models and conducting valuations• Coordinating legal, auditing, tax, and marketing advisory to the fund portfolio and monitoring the financial and social impact• Supporting the development of impact assessment frameworks across the portfolio, collating and analyzing data• Leading presentation of investment pitches to potential investors and co-investors • Deal structuring (term sheets) and negotiation to the investment committee and external investors• Working closely with the investment committee in implementing effective capital allocation, LP liaison and reporting
