When I was a child, my Grandpa used to tell me how computers were run by punch cards and talked about the old mainframe computers. This was my start with a fascination for technology; this grew when I got my first computer in the second grade, it was a 486 that my dad built, and later I learned how to build a computer. This interest continued to grow as I tried new skills like learning how to program with BASIC, C, C++, and Pascal, although I was not as good with programming as the technical side. In 2021 This interest extended to cybersecurity with the hacking of the Colonial Pipeline. I was curious about what caused this attacked and learned that it was not a sophisticated hacking attack like in the movies but simply a reused password that was bought from the darknet. In pursuit of this new interest, I enrolled in an intensive 10-month hands-on cybersecurity certificate program at San Diego State University. I developed skills like troubleshooting, networking, and the knowledge and skills to monitor, analyze, and respond to security threats. As a paralegal, I managed 200+ cases on a daily basis and ensured that none of those cases fell through the crack. I also provided training to new employees on the foreclosure process and helped them when their workload became too big. Due to this expertise, I worked with the managers on how to streamline the process of foreclosures and talk with the attornies so that we could all agree on the procedures. I provided exceptional customer service to the clients and was able to increase our client referrals.
