My job is to revitalize traditional Cree/Nehiyaw birthing practices, medicines, and ceremonies in a contemporary midwifery environment. Part documentarian, community organizer, searching mystic, and product development, my role is to build a system which enables Kehewin Cree Nation to rebuild their community and culture, one family at a time.

For the past several months, I took time to reconnect with my Navajo heritage. Ideally I would have found work on the reservation, but because the unemployment rate is around 48.5%, it was next to impossible.Thus, I earned money by providing whatever services I could to whoever they would help. Though this initially started as a means to an end, it turned into a meaningful life experience that has taught me the power of connecting with others. Some highlights include:-Rooster: provided brand representation at a SXSW launch party; trained a team of 3 to showcase iPhone application features and use; logistical support for event wrap-up; met SO many amazing people, including Chelsea Clinton.-Creative Action Network: attended multiday tradeshow in Albuquerque on behalf of CAN to increase exposure for their See America campaign and to gather vendor feedback about their existing product line. -Dave's Mechanic Shop: Reconfigured software and office layout at a mechanic's shop so his computer systems would stop crashing and so that his billing would go through.-Rylee, a senior in high school: I tutored her for 12 weeks and got her SAT score increased by 300 point. She did the work, I just helped her sort out all her fears about the test.

Updated billing system to streamline pay dates; identified weakness in inventory management and corrected; retrained staff to have proper sales conversation with each customer and developed storewide customer service expectations; analyzed sales flow to identify budgetary requirements for optimal inventory volume; reconfigured floor plan for best store experience and to highlight retail displays; complied with Sprint Store requirements via monthly audit.

Empire Coin bought valuables at sponsored events around the country and sold them for their wholesale rate or listed them on eBay for their market value. My job was to distinguish which items were to be listed on eBay and which were to be sold wholesale. After the designated eBay items were set aside, I would photograph each item, write a detailed listing for it, and post it online to be sold for auction. After the items were sold, I would process the payment, wrap and ship the items, and respond to inbound customer service calls.

Door to door sales program selling home security monitoring agreements. By the end of the summer, I generated over $20,000 in new contracts. Learned the value of a positive attitude, persistent effort, and the ability to laugh at oneself.

My position at Shazzle required me to provide marketing and support services to three different companies, all owned by the same person. My primary focus was Shazzle, but I also worked with Advisor Nation on their Contact Marketing Pro software product, and Bangzoom Publishing's marketing services. When I was hired, Shazzle was a peer to peer file sharing network that had developed a Microsoft Outlook plugin and was marketing itself as a secure file sharing service. After I performed a series of marketing reports, demographic surveys, and extensive industry field research, the company decided iterate and became a secure mobile to mobile communications service. In this time I was able to develop a brand identity, commission logos that are still in use, establish a social media presence, connect to and build relationships with key security conferences, and write branded messages for web copy, white papers, and press releases. I also grew our customer base by 25% each month and was able to identify 4 new target markets. Meanwhile, I was also doing work for Advisor Nation's software, Contact Marketing Pro. This was an email marketing program that allowed Insurance Agents and brokers to prospect for new clients. My first big success with Contact Marketing Pro was redesigning their user interface after I ran a focus group with 20 existing clients and determined that they experienced difficulty using the software. Thus, we went from a confusing and frustrating process, to one that was task oriented and much easier to use. My second big success was in developing an effective training webinar that ran once a week and regularly attracted an audience of 25 viewers. For Bangzoom Publishers, I developed and ran marketing campaigns to sell Juvenile Fiction. All campaigns were split tested.

Provided excellent customer IT support to mid/top level executives from around the world; logged support incidents using HEAT; updated websites using Dreamweaver; trained 7 additional specialists; digitized internal manuals to decrease support hold-time by 1 minute.

Supported daily operations of 7 person start-up hedge fund; acted as personal assistant to founders; reorganized filing systems to streamline record keeping; managed office workstations and logistics.

Supervised 30 international Summer School students while taking a class; organized weekly networking events for 30-50 people.

Delivered excellent customer service under strict time constraints, resulting in recognition from US Air CEO; developed and implemented system of baggage handling between US Air, Prospect Contractors, and TSA to reduce Phoenix airport’s misplaced bag rate by 35%; wrote manual for delivery system and trained 10 employees.

Assisted in developing brand image for start-up luxury coffee bean company; coordinated with box manufacturers to design and construct high-quality packaging; assisted in obtaining initial sales agreements in excess of $500,000 for William Sonoma, Dean & Deluca, and Trader Joe’s; provided web developers with functional requirements specification and web copy.

Provided excellent customer service to all customers, resulting in accolades from Southwest Regional Manager; managed team of 3-5 people to maintain proper deployment; earned Coffee Master status; won district sales competition during 2003 holiday season for most espresso machines sold.
