Led Plant Engineering function in the areas of Capital, Process Engineering, Instrumentation and controls, Maintenance and Process Excellence supporting Operations.• Managed the Gastonia Plant on an interim basis (June 2008 - July 2009) through difficult external and internal challenges while maintaining Safety(0 recordable injuries), Quality (99.3% First Pass Rate), and flexing costs at low production volumes. • Managed the design, construction and startup of a first of its kind $1.2MM Large Format Tire Prototype Facility on budget on an expedited schedule. • Directed Front End Engineering Design for $100MM Urethane Prepolymer and curative expansion project. • Led Six Sigma/Lean team to develop and implement the plant Energy Conservation Strategy that resulted in a 10% reduction in energy consumption and greenhouse gases. • Eliminated bottleneck on sold out LFTDI pre-polymer plant that resulted in a 14% capacity increase and an incremental margin of $140K/yr.
