Reported to Chairman, President, and CEO of HCI Group with the sole responsibility to research, analyze, and recommend/implement new geographic market and product expansion for this $470 million property and casualty insurance holding company. Created business plan and pro-forma financials driving 3rd quartile market share after only 3 years of operation, with 6,000 policies-in-force, $46 million of premium, and 21% after-tax income. Developed insurance department relationships in four states where none existed previously, receiving insurer approval to enter markets in record 3-month timeframe.

Led accounting, reporting, treasury, strategic planning, analysis, and tax services. Customer/product financial management and vendor contract refinement during tenure drove 20+% revenue growth and fully 40% increase in net income, allowing company to invest in new initiatives via alternative sales channels and new products.

CFO of publicly traded company (INMG - Nasdaq) providing complete turn-key outsourcing to insurance companies nationwide. Managed all financial operations and established financial framework of public company during growth phase and eventual sale of operations, helping negotiate best transaction value for shareholders during company sale and protecting employment of all staff within new entity.

Oversaw eCommerce division charged with selling, processing, and administering insurance of all types via Web-based tools and integrated Wakely Software into Selectica e-Insurance during major growth phase. Full responsibility for all facets of operations while managing expansion into new market segments and growing the business.

Responsibility for GAAP, Canadian GAAP, statutory, and SEC reporting for three US companies. Created reporting realignment plan and implemented process improvements which led to increased profitability and information flow to Canadian corporate office via these methods.
