As Chief Creative Officer I was responsible for new business development as well as creative oversight and management. Under my leadership our team produced award winning, compelling, insightful and strategically smart creative work for accounts such as Clorox, Pine-Sol, Gatorade, Jockey and Walmart. Due to my efforts revenues grew by 67% over a seven year period and we won 10 significant pieces of new business. In addition, I grew the creative team from just 70 in Dallas to 120 nationwide.ALL of the creative product used to be done out of Dallas (all other offices – NY, Chicago, SF – were primarily account service). Under my leadership I dramatically improved the agency dynamic and way of working. I placed 35 creatives in Chicago, 5 in San Francisco, and 10 in New York.

In my role as CCO I reorganized and developed a nascent creative department and its processes and upgraded the creative product. After three months as CCO, I was charged with co-leadership responsibilities after EURO's president departed in December 2002. In addition, I re-engineered Strottman’s creative process by hiring a corps of “Kid Engineers” ages 7-17 to help conceive and design target-appropriate promotions and advertising, while also enrolling the family’s key decision maker – Mom - as part of the creative process, resulting in higher than industry-norm program success rates. I led an innovative new business development effort that was successful in breaking through the “new business lead clutter” by enlisting “Christie,” a 10-year-old Kid Engineer, to leave after-hours voice mails on targeted CMO’s phones, resulting in a 95% hit rate for first contacts. My responsibilities included overseeing all creative products for the agency's Irvine, Atlanta, Hong Kong and China offices.My clients were Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, KFC, Long John Silver's, Stouffer's Maxaroni and Family Style Recipes, Nestlé’s Food Services Division, Mervyn's and Havas' Spymasters and Jumpstart.
