I connected the realities of wealth management businesses to the capabilities of technology to create superior operational outcomes. I worked in the pre-sales team where our goal was to take the complexity out of operating models and processes to deliver simplicity, through efficiency, best practices and scale.As the first on-shore Avaloq representative in the pre-sales team, I spent my time creating Australian based content from scratch or bringing Swiss information into a local context as well as expanding the network of stakeholders. By bringing in the global experience of Avaloq, I was able to challenge the status quo of operational efficiencies and what it meant to deliver a true value-adding business experience.

Delivered superior operational and middle office outcomes for the Private Wealth Management business in Sydney. Managed the entire life-cycle of a client, from onboarding, reconciliations (cash and asset), regular and adhoc report generation (income and growth, transactional and tax), trade management (across all major financial instruments and domestic and international markets) and payments.Built out the margin lending business to operationally support lending against ETOs (protected loans), FX forwards, equities, bonds, funds and structured products.Continually challenged and improved the infrastructure, processes, knowledge of the team and capabilities to value add for all areas of the business.

Three rotation program in Operations in Sydney. First rotation involved project work (change the bank) with the implementation of a new system. It then moved into using the system (running the bank). I was working with Fixed Income products. 2nd rotation was working in the Futures team. I was initially involved in reconciliations, but then moved into the Client Services team. My 3rd rotation involved working in the Private Wealth Management Operations team, performing the settlements, reporting and reconciliation for the PWM business.

A customer service role with a heavy focus on client satisfaction. This job required a committment to detail (every bride wants their wedding to be perfect), working to strict deadlines (hundreds of guests waiting outside could not be kept waiting) and a high degree of personal grooming.
