I am currently a teaching specialist in the Department of Finance in the Faculty of Business and Economics at The University of Melbourne. Previously, I was an associate professor in the Department of Accounting at Deakin University, a senior lecturer in the Department of Accounting at Monash University, and an assistant professor in the Department of Accounting and Finance at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. I received my PhD. in Accountancy from the City University of Hong Kong, an MBA (with concentrations in finance and econometrics) from the Booth School at the University of Chicago, a dual Summa Cum Laude undergraduate from the Wharton School (with a dual concentration in finance and econometrics) and the School of Engineering (with a concentration in computer engineering) at the University of Pennsylvania. I also received a Graduate Certificate of Higher Education (Learning and Teaching) from Deakin University. My research focuses on empirical asset pricing, business sustainability, corporate governance, market efficiency, and behavioral finance, and I have published articles on these topics in top academic journals, including the Journal of Accounting and Economics, the Journal of Corporate Finance, the Journal of Business Ethics, Accounting and Finance, the Journal of Risk and Financial Management and the Review of Financial Economics.
