About Anthony (Tony) Nguyen

My name is Anthony (Tony) Nguyen. I use the pronouns he/him. I attended a General BSc Program at the University of Guelph from 2018-2021. My most memorable experiences during this time was working in an ophthalmologist office under Dr. Anthony Cabrera and in the University of Guelph's Wellness Education Centre. In these roles, I actively looked to create inclusive spaces by listening to the concerns of others, attending anti-oppression trainings of various types (LGBTQ2IA+ inclusivity, substance-use awareness, ASIST suicide prevention training program, inclusive language) and developing educational health resources. Currently, I am attending a MD Program at the University of Toronto. I hope to gain a holistic understanding on the patient-physician relationship prioritizing how the various social determinants of health can influence a person's healthcare experience. Personal Hobbies: jazz musician — tennis player — rock climber — food lover
