I completed dry weather sampling of Columbus' outfalls. I performed complaint investigations, spill response and community outreach.

I completed material testing and inspection at assigned construction sites around Ohio. I tested concrete and soils to see if the material meets the specifications given to me by the Client. I had to observe the method in which the contractor and crew place the materials being used to assure it is completed per specification. Before the placement of concrete I had to inspect the reinforcing steel within the forms for quality and to approve it meet the specifications in the drawings given to me. If there was a difference between the drawings and what is inspected I had to inform the foreman, contractor and project manager on site immediately. Anything that I observed or wasn't able to observed had to be noted in my report to the project manager. A few projects that I have been on are the turnpike, progressive field, AEP substation, Kent State Art school and a few ODOT projects throughout the Cleveland area.

I started off going to smaller projects around the area and performing concrete and soil testing at those sites. I would also be sent on specialty tests such as concrete coring, anchor bolt pulls and bolt pull tests. After a few months I was put on the Watchtower project as a concrete inspector which is the World Headquarters of the Jehovah Witnesses and was 1.6 million square feet of construction zone. Other projects I have worked on are Westchester Airport, Pace University, Michie Stadium and the Franciscan Friars of Atonement.

I was in charge of specialty orders that had to be completed following strict guidelines and delivered on time. I had to make sure the product was delivered by the correct freight company on a certain day with all the correct paperwork comoleted as well as the items packed per the customer's request. When I completed those for the day I would then be sent to scan items collected by the pickers to insure they are the correct item and amount before the order was sent to be packed. On occasion I would run the line which entailed scanning packages and verifying the order and packages were of similar weight and going to the correct address before loading them onto the truck. Any mistakes would have to be reported and fixed before being placed on the truck.

I worked in the shipping department completing large orders and loading them onto the trucks using a sit down forklift to complete the tasks given to me. I would work back in the paint department throughout the week to help fill the buckets and prepare them to be stored in the warehouse.
