Text and Texture on Shakespeare's Birthplace, Stratford-upon-Avon, until 14th December.Illuminate 2015. 3rd to 10th January 2015, Bath.I am a digital artist and designer who can create unique software solutions for a variety of situations, either for ideas devised by me or responding to a brief.I use coding to create artworks, having the ability to create something from nothing, identifying the problem and working out a solution. This doesn't mean just screen based solutions (although I can create apps, websites, software), I am also able to design and create physical artifacts and installations. Often solutions aren't obvious and my particular method involves elements of inspiration, trial, decisions, iteration. I'm very interested in play and audience engagement, and my knowledge resides in getting people to engage with art and design work through experiences.I have knowledge in java/javascript/c# coding languages as well as about most pieces of visual, interactive, audio software that you can think of. I mainly use Unity3D or Processing to create work due to its flexibility and intuitiveness.I've been coding since the mid 1980's and making bits of computer art for nearly as long.I have expert knowledge in digital art and outdoor projections, and am Creative Director of Illuminate 2015, an outdoor light and projection event, 3rd to 10th January 2015. As a Senior Lecturer at Bath Spa University, I teach on the BA Graphic Communication course at Bath School of Art and Design.
