I oversee government communications for CGI’s Western Region. I manage more than 14 Government Relations Consultants and Lobbyists in 20 Western States, and work to align CGI with key strategic elected and appointed officials across the region. My focus is building visibility with state government officials and have developed budget language that positions CGI to bid on major contracts – securing large scale new business contracts of $500 million. I also developed CGI Employee Federal PAC (more than 150 members) and oversee guidance and accountability of all financial matters.

I had the distinct honor of serving two terms and representing the communities of East Sacramento, Elk Grove, Galt, Lodi, Rancho Cordova, and Rancho Murieta. Throughout my tenure, I introduced legislation impacting: Energy Efficiency (Chaptered), Public Contracts Bidding Requirements (Chaptered), Production and transmission public utilities and commodities (Chaptered), Solar Energy Systems (Chaptered). I also protected private and public sector utility rates during California’s ongoing rolling blackouts.I also managed the Republican Caucus Communication team and conducted on camera and radio interviews and served as political analyst for Channel 10 (Sacramento) Election night coverage in 2002 and 2004. I was elected to the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) Board of Directors, which represents parts of East Sacramento, Elk Grove, Galt, Rancho Cordova and Rancho Murieta. I served as Board President in 1995 and 1996, Chaired the Resource Development Committee, and Vice Chaired of the Finance Committee. During this time, I positioned SMUD to maintain zero rate increases by managing expenditures and reducing bond debt through creation and development of a “rate stabilization fund”.

I was appointed Chief of Staff to the California State Architect by Governors George Deukmejian and Pete Wilson. Managed Day to Day operations of the office including, budget, personnel, and legislation.
