About Anthony Petchel, Mba, Ctp, Cfre (He/Him)

Anthony Petchel brings 25+ years of leadership experience in team development, management, fundraising and communications strategies, and strategic business planning. Anthony is also an adjunct instructor in the Masters of Nonprofit Leadership program at Portland State University and teaches nonprofit finance at the Nonprofit Financial Leadership Academy. Anthony has spoken at numerous national training conferences, including the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) international conference (ICON & LEAD), NeighborWorks America, Advancement NW, WVDO, OCADVSA, and Neighborhood Partnerships, to name a few. Before forming 360Philanthropy, Anthony led teams at REACH Community Development, a NeighborWorks America member, and at OMSI, one of the nation's leading science museums. While at OMSI, the team successfully led the Museum's first capital campaign in 20 years ($11M), and built out a new Planned Giving Program while raising millions annually for science education. Anthony is also an executive search consultant for Nonprofit Professionals Now.Before his nonprofit and consulting work, Anthony spent over 16 years in commercial finance and consumer banking management. He holds bachelor's degrees in psychology and sociology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. Anthony also holds his Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credential and is a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP).Anthony is also an adjunct instructor in the Masters of Nonprofit Leadership program at Portland State University and teaches nonprofit finance at the Nonprofit Financial Leadership Academy. Anthony has spoken at numerous national training conferences, including the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) international conference (ICON & LEAD), NeighborWorks America, Advancement NW, WVDO, OCADVSA, and Neighborhood Partnerships, to name a few.Volunteering is a core part of his ethos. He has over 25 years of experience serving on and leading nonprofit boards ranging from homeless services to public radio. Currently, he serves on the Community Advisory Board for the public radio station KQAC, AllClassical Portland; the international board of Rogare: the fundraising think tank; and the Oregon and SW Washington chapter board of the Association of Fundraising Professionals(AFP), and as a volunteer judge for the Oregon High School Ethics Bowl.
