Back in the United States running 1 million dollars+ in CAPEX projects for our Commercial Division.

Managing the infrastructure stream of a 10 million euro project to split the operations of ABI and a new company that formed around the divestiture of our Central European operations, StarBev. The project is truly international in scale. There are 14 nationalities and 12 countries involved in the project. My stream covers everything from the MPLS network, Global Datacenters with IBM BE, all Microsoft technologies both backoffice and OS/applications on desktops in the field, Altiris, McAfee Antivirus, custom local application servers, IM, replication services, active directory, and WSUS.

Reduced operating costs and increased value of the internally-hosted extranet by proposing a new highly-available environment leveraging existing network, virtualization and SAN installations. We were able to run the same number of application on equipment worth $2.5 million less than the legacy environment.Reduced R&D cycle-time by increasing visibility to the interdependencies of the IT market, the business, and technology through the use of an in-house developed application of my design.

Reduced costs through the application of ITIL practices in a newly formed organization focused on Infrastructure Release Management, Change Management, Availability Management, and Capacity Management.Negotiated a $3 million dollar contract with Verizon Business Systems to host Bud.tv. In doing so, I was able to eliminate a previous outsource contract for $1.5 million by fork-lifting our consumer-facing applications into the new bi-coastal Verizon environment. The new environment allowed for disaster recovery and a functionally-equivalent test environment.

Started the Web Operations group at Anheuser-Busch. Fostered an environment of empowerment and a culture of being “in the way” when we provided value and “out of the way” when we did not. Consistent focus on cost reduction through consolidation and streamlining IT processes so that applications development and operations could deliver business value on-time and under budget. Applied lessons learned from BudNET and expanded scope to the intranet and an externally-hosted environment.

Anheuser-Busch had decentralized management of servers used for test and development. The BudNET Server group was formed to consolidate the management of nearly a hundred servers. I led the team in creating a landscape model that allowed us to work with developers. Together we created developmental and process standards that allowed us to decommission all servers under desktops and a development lab amounting to a decrease of $300,000 in unnecessary capital.
