Working knowledge of national standards, applications of PLC design, instrumentation, and data acquisition in a manufacturing environment. Work with AutoCAD and Microstation to produce electrical schematic diagrams. Plan, develop, and direct one (1) large engineering project or number of small projects, usually coordinating the work of less experienced engineers, technical assistants, and drafters.Duties Include:Perform design and engineering functions in accordance with accepted practices and company standards.Perform design calculations related to tasks assigned.Prepare scopes of work, preliminary design concepts, and cost estimates for small, medium and large projects.Gather field data and prepare project specificationsCoordinate design with other members of project teams.Prepare project correspondence as required.Design control networks using Ethernet, Devicenet, Controlnet, ASi, Profinet, Modbus, RIO.
