Forward thinking software innovator responsible for building high caliber software teams for the B2B/B2C SaaS Search platform. Owned all facets of the SDLC including DevOps and SRE duties. Orchestrated company-wide initiatives to position Search platform as leader in ML driven news article scoring.- Moved all search indexers and clients from Elasticsearch to Opensearch to enable KNN vector search algorithms for enhanced search relevancy. Initiative required coordination between multiple teams (development, product, ML and QA) to upgrade both hardware and software platforms. Completed the migration of all indices (shopping, news, movies, etc) with no impact to end users.- Moved all external consultant repos and applications from Github/AWS to on-prem Gitlab/Kubernetes. Changes streamlined the development process to cut down on confusion across different environments and netted over $4K savings per month.- Worked with Product team to create new JIRA boards for new Agile/Scrum process to support vertically integrated teams to promote faster code delivery- Streamlined hiring process with veteran developers to increase team two-fold in 1 year. - Improved efficiency and timing of indexing pipeline by prioritizing and designing projects (Samza task for natural language processing, Kafka delete topics, etc) with Java and ML teams. Improvements resulted in 70% reduction in time taken to process and index over 15 million news articles.- Quickly learned the architecture of our legacy knowledge resource service well enough to train our largest client on a business trip overseas. The success of that trip resulted in the company getting a large payout (~ $20 million) for meeting our first phase milestone.

- Forked voice assistant engine work into its own branch and eventually repo. This allowed us to push changes to voice assistant without affecting normal engine deploys and vice versa. It also enabled us to have an impressive demo for the Mobile World Congress 2019 after only 3 months of work (including inception phase) without affecting normal engine API releases.- Redesigned the development process to use a gitflow model to move integration fixing/tests into the developer’s hands so that bugs are addressed before reaching QA.- Worked with team to move from .net 4.7.1 to .net core 2.1. Resulted in ability for all virtual machines running Windows server to be transitioned into Linux Docker containers running in Kubernetes. Allowed code stack to be flexible and efficient to scale for our users while at the same time of reducing costs of infrastructure (servers and licenses).

- Implemented distributed caching framework across entire .net api stack in order to increase response times for end users. - Setup Nunit testing framework from scratch. Refactored code became the base project for external developers to develop and test widgets to be used in our platform.
