Hi!Iām Anthony. Sport is the industry where I thrive and feel at home. I played tennis professionally as a junior and then at the NCAA Division-1 level during my undergraduate days in America. My original ālife planā (if there is such a thing) after my undergrad was to jump on to the ATP Tour and play professional doubles to see where I stood at the elite level of the game. Unfortunately, in my final year of undergrad, I tore multiple knee ligaments on court leaving me without a functioning right knee. Needless to say, this subsequently changed my life. After a complete surgical reconstruction and rehab for a year, I went back to playing but it never felt the same again. I took some time off to weigh the pros and cons of taking the time to train and get back to the level I was at pre-injury, which made me realize I was in a precarious position while also acknowledging the financial difficulties that I was likely to face. This sped my transition to pursue and complete my graduate studies a lot earlier than I had originally anticipated. While competing on the ATP Tour is no longer the goal, my passion for sport, health, fitness, and overall wellbeing remains the same. In addition to a Bachelorās from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a Masterās from The University of Melbourne (Melbourne Business School), I possess demonstrated work experience in the areas of Marketing, Commercial Partnerships, Communications and Project Management across an array of industries that include Sport, Education, and IT. I set myself challenging goals, give 100% in effort, and take pride in holding myself accountable to the efforts I put in to achieve the goals that are set. In addition to tennis opening numerous doors and giving me all the opportunities that Iāve had the privilege of experiencing, the most important take-away for me is the countless lessons learnt on court that impact and influence the way I live my life daily. At the end of the day ā every tennis match starts at ālove-allā.In my free time, you will find me at the gym or a tennis court or getting up to some sort of outdoorsy activities, playing a sport (and watching a lot of it as well), making sure I try Messina's weekly specials, checking out the latest sneakers (while trying to cop a whole lot of them), working on vintage cartoon and comic puzzles, discovering new music that Spotify curates on a weekly basis, gaming on the PS5, meal-prepping, and ensuring all my indoor plants are thriving (or surviving, at the very least). Thanks for stopping by!
