New Contractor’S Security Terminal

This small security terminal was designed for contractors only and was also designed as relief for the other security gates at west and north. Overseeing the install of the entrance barriers and the terror barriers installed by frontier Pitts. Electrical install was done by W.T. Jenkins they wired out to any lighting points under the canopies and provide points of power for the data cabinet’s and any barriers that needed power.

The installation involved a new gas metering system added to the existing pipe work to give the end user a more accurate usage reading. Checking all the ATEX equipment’s and cross checked with drawings and signed off any glands made off by the install team.

This is a new 3km Cryogenic pipeline which has been installed at the National Grid LNG site in Grain Kent. Liaising between CB&I and Lighting Group of companies to progress with the final install. Checking and correcting any CompEx glands that had not been made off to a correct standard.Checking the exTD enclosures were correct for the Zone it was in checking drawings and schedules to cross check cable idents on both ends of the cable which is hugely important to any working’s to this bio-mass Project. Working with engineers from Doosan Babcock to make all sure all final punch list items were addressed and cleared.

I was also involved in the install of busbar’s above the Data racks as each rack needed its own power to supplyMTS tap off boxes was used as these had the main supply and a backup supplyContainment was installed under the racks hidden under the raised floors these cables where fibre and data cables for the racks above. I was also involved in installing containment on the roof of the building for the chiller units and cabling to the switch rooms below.
