Level II IPTL, responsible for leading 39 subject matter experts in order to manage the engineering, development, procurement, and sustainment of software and hardware collision avoidance solutions in support of PMA209 (Air Combat Electronics) and aircraft platform customers; Responsible for the cost, schedule and performance of both contracted and in-house software development for the government owned GPWS and the government patented TAWS solutions, as well as the new TAWS II solution which includes obstacle alerts; Efforts consist of 3 Acquisition Category (ACAT) IV programs and 4 Non-Designated Acquisition Programs (NDAP) with Total Ownership Costs exceeding $300M and annual budgets of $5M - $10M across all funding lines; Led the team to a successful Material Development Decision/Acquisition Strategy Review (MDD/ASR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), and to a Milestone B Decision Review for the TAWS II ACAT IVM program, while generating executive level buy-in to utilize software developers from NAVAIR instead of a traditional contracting effort for developers.
