Team Manager: I manage the Building and Infrastructure team in the Dublin office with the autonomy to manage and develop the team. I have responsibility for maintaining and developing client relationships, generating new business, leading proposals, invoicing, debtor engagement, resource management, weekly team meetings, staff performance reviews, interviewing and hiring of new staff. Financial Control: I have a specific financial target that my team must meet to maintain the company multiplier. I am held accountable for meeting this target. This is achieved through identifying scope changes on existing projects, increased confidence on new proposal prices and rigorous line management on delivery of projects. New Business: In line with my business strategy for the team, I identify relevant new clients, architects, project managers and quantity surveyors, orchestrate introductions and then present to them on an increasingly regular basis. I regularly go to networking events, create follow up coffee meetings taking ownership of engagement and follow up with new contacts. Structural and Civil Technical Review: I took personal responsibility for increasing the quality of the technical deliverables of the team by instigating a continuous and staged review process. Industry Awards. I instigated the awards programme in 2016 / 2017 targeting the Engineers Ireland, ACEI and Property Industry Awards. The company entered 10 awards, were nominated for 8 and won 5 so far. Tobin had not been nominated for an award in over 7 years before I joined the company. This is now managed by the Business Development Manager.

CPD/Training Manager: I was responsible for maintaining CPD Accreditation to Engineers Ireland. I created the CPD committee in 2009 and nominated the members. I chaired the quarterly meetings, reported to the directors, monitored the training budget, tracked company CPD hours, approved training, and managed the annual review process for all staff.Mentoring Committee Chairman: I established the mentoring committee in 2011 with the objective of guiding all non-chartered engineers to chartership with their chosen institution. I selected the mentors, organised formal training for them, monitored progress with their mentees and organised mock interviews for chartership.CAD Standards Committee Chairman: I negotiated and agreed the CAD standards for JBB. I guided the CAD team in the transition to BIM by offering projects that I project managed to be test cases for BIM.Lunchtime Talks: From 2009 onwards I set up weekly lunchtime talks to support staff development. These presentations included industry webcasts, visiting manufacturers, staff presentations on completed projects and topical issues.Industry Awards: I led the awards programme from 2011 targeting the Engineers Ireland, ACEI and Property Industry Awards. The company entered 18 awards, were nominated for 12 and won 6 during the time I managed the programme.
