About Anthony Tooton
I am the owner and creative director of Tooton Films, a film and video production company that I founded in honour of my great-grandfather, who started the first Kodak distributorship in the world in 1905. I studied Film Production @ The Toronto Film School after winning the Entrance Scholarship for my documentary film: “Restaurants are not Democracies!”With over 20 years of experience in the media industry, I have produced, directed, shot, and edited various forms of content, from films and documentaries to podcasts and web series. I collaborate with talented and diverse teams of writers, presenters, actors, crew, and partners to create cutting-edge content that captures and exhibits compelling stories for a range of mediums and formats. My mission is to create topical and timeless projects that fill voids within the vastly changing media landscape and appeal to niche markets that are mutually beneficial to all parties involved. I have vast experience in producing, directing, cinematography, writing, presenting, narrating, editing and photography, and I enjoy exploring various themes and genres that exhibit my fierce commitment to that which is just and prudent and all the while socially conscious.
