Audio Visual Technician
CurrentSet up and operate audiovisual equipment such as projectors, microphones, sound systems, video screens, and lighting systems for classrooms, conference rooms, and event spaces.• Provide technical support during events, including troubleshooting audiovisual equipment issues quickly and efficiently to minimize disruptions• Provide instruction to faculty, staff and corporate presenters as needed in the daily operation of audiovisual presentation systems• Troubleshoot issues with AV systems and implement fixes as necessary to ensure minimal disruption to faculty, staff and corporate presenters• Ensure the maintenance and proper functioning of audiovisual equipment through regular inspections, repairs, and updates as needed• Collaborate with event organizers, faculty, and staff to understand audiovisual requirements and ensure all technical aspects are addressed according to the event's needs• Familiarity with audiovisual software, presentation tools (like PowerPoint or Keynote), and video conferencing platforms to facilitate smooth presentations and interactions• Adhere to safety protocols and university policies related to the setup, operation, and maintenance of audiovisual equipment• Maintaining accurate records of equipment inventory, service logs, and technical specifications to ensure efficient equipment management and future reference• Provide training and technical guidance to users on how to operate audiovisual equipment effectively, especially for faculty and staff who may need assistance
