From a successful career in the Information Technology sector, as well as numerous successes in the international music, entertainment and media production sphere, Anthony (Tony) Schmidt joined the EPC Media Group in January 1991 as Group General Manager.Building on the company's successful core business of magazine printing and publishing, Tony's work during the 1990s saw the group's business activities expand to encompass all aspects of print and electronic media - from music, TV and film production, through to the establishment of the group's advertising and creative agency, marketing and media services division, expansion of the group's printing and production facilities and the introduction of a number of specialist media and marketing consulting services. Following a negotiated MBO in 2002, Tony took over as Managing Director and CEO of EPC Media Group, and since that time, has significantly expanded the group's business activities across all divisions. This included the 2006 purchase of the highly respected journal Australian Concrete Construction and expansion into specialist scientific and engineering text books.Thanks to this ongoing proactive expansion strategy, EPC Media Group has grown to become a leader in the field of specialist trade publications and specialist media - with highly respected, industry leading publications in the fields of Engineering, Environment, Infrastructure and Construction.
