My current skills are a hybrid fusion of two sub-sets. Primarily, I am a scientist working at the interface between hard "science" and policy-making. Secondarily, I am a product of a country in political transition, with direct experience in the complexities associated with building trust in a highly polarized society by means of uncontested data and data-processing methodologies. At present a significant component of my professional work is in the sugar and ethanol sector, where I provide oversight and leadership to various teams designing the next generation technologies needed for process optimization. I am media savvy, capable of handling hostile interviews on radio, TV and the print media. I believe that good science is never afraid of public scrutiny.
