Recently, I have returned to the Encore family and joined their team as an Event Experience Strategy Director. With the new partnership in the USA between Encore and Event Design Collective (EDCo), I am excited to continue sharing the power of strategic event design and help clients design incredible experiences with revolutionary outcomes.

Within my role at Encore I lead Event Design using the Event Canvas Methodology in the US market. Our partnership with Event Design Collective allows Encore's clients to leverage the strength of the Methodology and optimise technology via human centred design. By bringing together these two great organisations in a strategic partnership we are contributing to the mission of creating truly transformational events.In a changing business landscape, event owners are faced with the need for change and event teams are challenged how to implement that change. Event Design Collective is the grown up name of the original startup called Event Model Generation started by Roel Frissen and Ruud Janssen who believe the meeting & event profession is a serious profession, without serious tools.It’s a visual chart with elements describing an event’s promise, how it helps stakeholders to get their jobs done, resolving pains and creating gains within a set framework of commitment and expected return. The canvas articulates how the behaviour changes as a result of having participated in the event as well as stating the required levels of satisfaction against expectations. Additionally, the canvas outlines the costs and expected revenues in relation to the customer journey (service design) and the instructional design of the event.
