Responsible for the origination, structuring and execution of equity derivatives, fixed income, commodities and structured financing solutions to the bank's private clients across Asia, including Australia, South Asia and Japan. I worked with the bank's clients to execute transactions across the full suite of Credit Suisse products and capabilities - equity, foreign exchange, credit, rates and commodity risk management, as well as primary and secondary equity and debt capital. There was a particular focus on private / structured financing including pre-IPO, acquisition financing, mezzanine / subordinated loans, share backed loans, convertible bonds / loans, asset and trade finance, ship and aircraft financing.I led transactions successfully across all key phases: origination / marketing, structuring, due diligence, credit, legal, trading and regulatory approvals, documentation, new business processes, execution and lifecycle management including client reporting.In this role, I also led the Australian and Japan structuring businesses, being responsible for very significant P&L growth and overall business strategy, including resourcing and capital allocation. I took a keen interest in staff development and training across a variety of asset classes, hosting workshops for relationship managers, clients, management and back office staff.Markets covered included Australia, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, India, Thailand and Indonesia.

Managed the Bank’s OTC Structured Products business for HNW and wholesale clients.Worked closely with sales and trading, credit, legal, tax and accounting teams on the development and execution of multiple bespoke transactions for wholesale and HNW clients.Conceived and built the Macquarie Customised Market Investments (CMI) wholesale investment platform, generating significant asset inflow for Macquarie. Using the CMI platform, developed the Series of MQ Gateway Trust investment products, distributed to retail, wholesale and SMSF clients.Developed the MQ Atlas Trust and MQ Comets commodity trading strategy. Executed equity portfolio hedges in excess of A$500m for corporates and private clients.
