I coordinated and executed field work on a reclaimed surface mine in Birch River, Webster County, WV. Soil and water samples were collected over a period of approximately one and a half years. I was in charge of collecting samples, running analysis, and coordinating help from undergraduate students when needed. Completed work was presented as professional presentations in both in-state and out-of-state meetings. I successfully defended my thesis in October 2010.
