FALCON Project Overview• Hired on to assist with the bank's goal of having a centralized platform to standardize the acquisition and enrichment of data needed across Finance.• Work on data acquisition and architecture for AmEx's "Fast Forward" goals involved with the increased regulatory scrutiny - via AUM category thresholds being met.Role Specifics• Role is a combination of Product Owner, Architect, SQL Developer, and Analyst.• My focus has been on US cardmember data of ensuring all the data is landed correctly and all transformations go as intended from our provisioning tables to downstream database management systems.• Work with Engineers to understand existing logic + processes which involves reviewing existing SQL logic and any applicable lookup table(s) leveraged.• Focus on landing, transformation, and provisioning designs to ensure SOR data meets downstream requirements.• Analyze downstream use cases to ensure all necessary elements needed are acquired and all applicable transformations are performed.• Work within an Agile framework of creating & accepting user stories for our Engineers to implement each sprint.• Source to Target (S2T) lineage• Perform data validation between FALCON data versus legacy data warehouses to ensure logic is working. • Work with Engineers to arrive at solutions for enhancements, defects, and change requests.• Write, challenge, and understand business requirements and partner with tech teams to drive an expected outcome.Software Utilized: Oracle SQL Developer, MySQL, Rally, Cornerstone, Hive Terminal

• Initially hired in 2021 to help ramp up the bank’s increasing Regulatory requirements due to certain assets under management (AUM) thresholds being reached• Focus was on 14Q Schedule H.1 and H.2 via regular meetings with SMEs/LOBs to help in the facilitation of data collection/production needed for Reg Reporting teams. Involved utilizing data from various sources with Oracle SQL Developer and other loan & client financial systems.• Once data was ingested into Axiom, the focus shifted to remediating Federal Reserve failed edit checks that arose via leveraging SQL and working with various LOBs/SMEs. • From 2022 to the present, I shifted into a Business Intelligence role using Microsoft SSMS, Oracle SQL Developer, and Tableau to automate datasets and satisfy any dashboards needed and any ad-hoc data requests for Leadership.• Example SQL scripts + Tableau reports I created helped the bank automate UAT/SIT testing, identify characteristics associated with our loans + deposits population, and provided Leadership with aggregations from our global population to help identify our cross-jurisdiction exposure (as we were approaching another regulatory threshold).
