Financial Systems Consultant: Data Architecture & Transformation
CurrentFALCON Project Overview• Hired on to assist with the bank's goal of having a centralized platform to standardize the acquisition and enrichment of data needed across Finance.• Work on data acquisition and architecture for AmEx's "Fast Forward" goals involved with the increased regulatory scrutiny - via AUM category thresholds being met.Role Specifics• Role is a combination of Product Owner, Architect, SQL Developer, and Analyst.• My focus has been on US cardmember data of ensuring all the data is landed correctly and all transformations go as intended from our provisioning tables to downstream database management systems.• Work with Engineers to understand existing logic + processes which involves reviewing existing SQL logic and any applicable lookup table(s) leveraged.• Focus on landing, transformation, and provisioning designs to ensure SOR data meets downstream requirements.• Analyze downstream use cases to ensure all necessary elements needed are acquired and all applicable transformations are performed.• Work within an Agile framework of creating & accepting user stories for our Engineers to implement each sprint.• Source to Target (S2T) lineage• Perform data validation between FALCON data versus legacy data warehouses to ensure logic is working. • Work with Engineers to arrive at solutions for enhancements, defects, and change requests.• Write, challenge, and understand business requirements and partner with tech teams to drive an expected outcome.Software Utilized: Oracle SQL Developer, MySQL, Rally, Cornerstone, Hive Terminal
