The Chef's Apprentice is a cooking school open to all ages and skill levels. We are flexible, teaching in a variety of facilities such as homes, church kitchens, camps, schools, etc. We encourage all to learn the basic methods of cooking. Once basic methods are mastered one can be freed from the constraints of recipes, and truly enjoy the cooking process! Cooking is a craft, art, and science. There are many levels that one may strive for, but whatever your goal, we expect you to respect food and those for whom you cook. Cooking is a essential skill that one can use to both nourish and delight!

Plan events to get people to come to Quail Ridge and it's on location restaurant the Cotee River Cafe. We plan to do a variety of events including fundraisers, cook offs, and seasonal themed parties.

I teach cooking and baking classes for children K-12 at a homeschool co-op. Topics include food safety and sanitation, basic gastronomy, basic cooking and baking methods, and instruction on many different types of cuisine.
