I’m currently project leader for a tourism development project in Kautokeino, Norway in addition to business consulting for founders and existing companies. I originate from north east Germany, grown up on a small farm located near the beautiful Baltic Sea. My interest in Northern Norway and in particular Kautokeino the “Heart of Sápmi”, awakened during my first summer job at Juhls Silvergallery in 2007. Three years later I found myself moving to this most beautiful and wild part of Norway, fascinated by both its astonishing nature but also its indigenous inhabitants the Sámi and their traditional, authentic way of live. Working in Tromsø, the “Gateway to the Arctic”, for four years gave me not only the opportunity to become most fluent in Norwegian but encountered me also with the possibility to both work within a rising and prospering tourism industry through my assignment as a tour and guide coordinator, as well as to get an understanding of Norwegian public administration and law in particular, due to my employment at the Hålogaland Court of Appeal. My latest position as a project leader in Kautokeino enabled me to broaden both my understanding of the Sámi culture and my language skills furthermore as I could learn the Sámi language and speak it almost fluently. I graduated from the University of Applied Sciences in Stralsund, Germany in 2010 with a bachelors degree in business administration, specialised within leisure and tourism management. I’m skilled in strategic planning, business development, accounting as well as marketing, communication and project planning. I like challenging tasks and consider jobs with a certain stress level as highly motivating and encouraging.
