Integer Technologies is a system designer and integrator of sustainable energy concepts for residential buildings. Our mission is to accelerate the energy transition in the built environment by introducing innovative sustainable installation concepts and data-based methods.From determining our short-term goals and long-term strategy, to developing a digital twin and testing hardware, the scope of my work is quite broad - and satisfying.

As team leader my main role is to coordinate the team: what is our strategy, what is our mission, and how do we work towards achieving our goals. I ensure our budget stays in line with our expenses, do procurement of materials and services for the team and also do all financial administration. Besides this. I also take an active technical role, participating or overseeing key elements of the technical design including the heat storage, electrical grid and control systems software.As part of my degree in Electrical Engineering and Applied Physics, I created a faithful digital twin of the CASA 1.0 written in MATLAB® and SimuLink that is able to accurately model the transient heat demand, depending on user interactions, weather influences and more. I then implemented various different control strategies for the floor heating and cooling, including a model-predicitve control strategy with various prediciton horizons of weather influences. With this, I was able to determine the optimal control strategy that is tuned to maximize both user comfort and energy performance.

3D product design in Blender 3D (open-source animation software) and later Autodesk Inventor, taking into account various requirements such as cooling, ventilation, sizing, etc.
