CurrentAs the Chief Technology Officer at Botronics, I spearheaded the development of our flagship product - the golf trolley of the future. My role as the technical creator involved ensuring that we delivered the best possible user experience by overcoming numerous engineering challenges. Key responsibilities included:- Implemented the full ROS 2 stack, encompassing control, navigation, and perception systems, to enable intelligent and autonomous navigation.- Developed custom ML models that analyze specific golf scenarios and make real-time decisions, enhancing the trolley's adaptability.- Designed advanced algorithms to ensure precise movements and decision-making in dynamic golf course environments.- Led the development of mobile and smartwatch applications to allow seamless interaction between the golfer and the trolley.- Created the backend logic to enhance user experience beyond golf coursesAdditional Technical Challenges:- Created a Yocto-based distribution to optimize system performance and reduce costs.- Managed the migration from ROS1 to ROS2, enabling the use of Nav2 and ensuring long-term system viability by avoiding outdated frameworks.- Successfully integrated multiple sensors for robust and accurate navigation in outdoor environments.
