• Supervise investigative and support staff engaged in conducting medicolegal death investigations including identification of the deceased, notification of the next of kin, conduct complex death investigations, coordinate investigative activities while critiquing and approving investigative reports.• Assist the pathologist with all aspects of autopsies, including evisceration, photography, identification, collecting evidence, obtain radiographic images of bodies, toxicology specimens, preparing death certificates, and admitting and releasing bodies from morgue. • Perform death investigations by collecting evidence, maintaining chain of custody, taking photographs, examining the body for trauma, interviewing pertinent parties, requesting other investigating agency reports, medical records, and other documents relevant to death investigations. Perform initial and follow-up interviews with family or other witnesses • Represent the Office of the Medical Examiner at various community meetings and performing presentations.
