Inventing the plausibly inevitable in impact absorbing materials and structures

VICIS is developing a revolutionary football helmet that mitigates impact forces. Vicis is a startup out of the University of Washington.

Primarily provided mechanical, audio and manufacturing engineering duties for existing products as well as new product development. Performed post production processing to 25 language voice prompts used in AED’s. Assisted in engineering capacities relative to audio such as speaker and microphone port design. Developed process of manufacturing instructions for the creation and installation of audio voice chips.

Developed surgical instrumentation for a suite of spinal implant products. Performed mechanical design, modeling, GDT and tolerance analysis across more than 40 instruments. Developed multiple surgical techniques and collaborated on a number of inventions.

Primary duties included: assembly, documentation, modeling, and marketing material illustration for Automatic External Defibrillators (AED's). Performed document change requests which included altering and creating mechanical components and assemblies. Also worked as in audio post production capacity.
