Acting as supervisor of the group performing the following tasks: Providing technical support to various production plants;Supporting the implementation OH&S and Environmental Management System;Operational Health and Safety awareness and training to production plants (chemical and metallurgical); Environmental reporting; Compliance Inspections;Incident investigations and reporting and close-out;Assisting in departmental audits;Technical report writing;Departmental Emergency planning, implementation and preparedness;Supporting the implementation of SABS 9001:2008 approved Quality Management System requirements;Implementation of legal requirements as stipulated by legislation and the corporate Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality system.I am also responsible for:Review and implementation the departmental Environmental Management Plan;Assisting in departmental audits and inspections;Occupational Hazard and Risk identification, assessment and management; (HAZOP’s, HIRA’s)Coordinating and providing input into various projects as well as facility civil and security upgrades, automation of processes in plants;Resource management;Ad hoc and routine reporting to top management and external parties;Security preparedness evaluation and coordination
