Main role included running and maintaining a Predator Centrifuge which controlled the flow of excess mud coming in and out of hole that was being drilled. I would also oversee the disposal of any excess solids. During this period I worked 12 hour daily shifts for 2 weeks at a time and seriously refined my prioritisation and time management skills as there were always many moving parts, it also let me experience working under intense pressure. For this position I earned many qualifications including being fully trained in first aid, receiving a full front-end loader license and received all oilrig safety qualifications.

I started my time at Huckleberry’s as a bartender and worked my way up to a supervisor position. Here I continued to build on and develop my customer service skills. As supervisor I was the first point of contact for any customer complaints and was firmly in charge of resolving them. I was in charge of staff rotas, training, and communication between the back of house and front of house teams. I built fantastic rapport with thousands of customers whether it was their first time at the restaurant or if they were locals. I developed cellar management experience including stock rotation, line cleaning, and tapping barrels. I additionally looked after all opening and closedown paperwork. The experience I gained here was immeasurable and set me up perfectly towards any direction I wanted to take my career.
