Engineering and Project Management professional with 20 years of diverse experience including 16 years in project leadership roles in Downstream and Upstream, in the Netherlands, UK, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, balanced across the Front End Development and Execution (of those 15 years in operating assets, 11 years in/with Shell JVs). • Project Management: broad experience across Front-End and Execution. Successfully delivered a portfolio of multi-discipline brownfield projects (cost-driven and scheduledriven projects in Shell-operated and JV environments, sole accountability for project sizes up to 200 mlnUSD; shared accountability for portfolios in excess of 1 blnUSD, major scopes covered: Well drilling and services, Pipelines, Water Separation,Treatment and Injection, minor brownfield mods, Electrical, Compression, Marine logistics). Strong hands-on experience in cost & schedule management, construction management, full cycle of contracting and procurement and safe project delivery. Experience in implementing project governance and assurance processes in a scaled fitfor-purpose way. Track record of successful delivery in complex project environments (politically sensitive JVs, influence without formal authority, complex stakeholder landscapes, cultural differences, remote teams, lack of experienced contractor resources, logistical, customs and regulatory challenges, dealing with uncertainty, mitigating high safety risks etc.). • Leadership: formal line management experience, proven track record of leading project teams (multiple internal teams plus large contractor and sub-contractor teams), front-line-leadership experience on construction sites during the HSE Goal Zero transition, experience of influencing a wide range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels, client-facing consulting experience. • Electrical Engineering: Masters degree + scientific research + experience in the frontend development and execution of electrical project scopes (brownfield infrastructure upgrades, New Energy projects) including commissioning, start-up and hand-over to client. • Commercial experience: formulated contracting strategies for a variety of projects with different value drivers and risk profiles, led tendering and evaluation, contributed to the development and negotiation of contracts, experience in post-award contract management (including claim management and dispute resolution).Open to opportunities in all Energy sectors: oil & gas, LNG, refineries, power, nuclear, grids, wind, solar, storage etc. as well as in new business development.
